Adityapur civic body bags top position in revenue collection

Jamshedpur, Apr 2: Adityapur Municipal Corporation has bagged the top slot in terms of revenue collection till March 31, 2021 among all the 20 civic bodies of Jharkhand. 
Mango Municipal corporation comes in the second followed by Jugsalai in the third spot. Manjhiyaon nagar panchayat had the lowest collection of only Rs 5236. However, Jugsalai however was among the top in terms of exceeding the target fixed for collection of revenue. While Jugsalai collected 107 per cent of the property taxes and had 100 per cent collection in water taxes while in trade licenses it had 115 percent collection 
Significantly, all the 20 civic bodies on a single day collected revenue of Rs 41, 54,332 as part of a special campaign carried out on March 31. 
The civic bodies of areas and amount collected  on a single day (March 31) are as follows- Adityapur – Rs 9,32,832, Mango – 6,46,699, Jugsalai- 513577, Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee – 61050, Chaibasa- 98296, Chakulia- 76648, Chakradharpur Nagar Parishad- 65079, Seraikela- 34900, Khunti – 482701, Medininagar – 321528, Gumla- 293576, Lohardaga- 200011, Bundu -108788, Simdega- 84368, Hussainabad- 57733, Garhwa- 52396, Nagar Uttari – 51905, Latehar- 35955, Bishrampur- 31054, Manjhiyaon- 5236.
