Jamshedpur, Feb 11: The Adhunik Alloys & Power Limited and Orissa Manganese & Minerals Limited, Kandra in association with Purnima Netralaya, Kadma organised a camp to provide clear eye vision to 203 deprived villagers of the Kandra and nearby areas.
The Adhunik Alloys organised free eye check camp on Friday at the Panchayat Bhawan, Kandra to deliver health benefits to the underprivileged.
Altogether 203 villagers from the 19 villages of all nine panchayats turned up for the free eye checkup camp. Amongst them 50 have been identified and selected for cataract operation which will be performed later on at the Purnima Netralaya.
The Purnima Netralaya Eye Specialist Doctor Mohammad Shahabuddin with his team checked up all patients. The Labour Commissioner, Saraikela-Kharaswan, Arvind Kumar was the chief guest while Deputy Director, Employment Exchange, Jamshedpur Shashi Bhushan Jhan was the guest of houour on occasion.
Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, GM (HR), Adhunik Alloys & Power Limited, Manoj Mahato former deputy chief (Gamharia block) and Mukhiya of Kandra gram panchayat Shankari Singh also addressed the gathering. Under the headship of Ajit Kumar other team members of CSR department played vital role in the success of the programme.
