Jamshedpur, Mar 21: The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) administration sealed the office of Adhunik Steel Company on Thursday. The office, located in the basement-parking area of Shanti Hari Tower near Bistupur Gopal Maidan, was shut down following a complaint from builder Kaushik Bagadia.
According to officials, the complaint cited illegal commercial activity and unauthorized construction in the basement parking area. A JNAC enforcement team, led by the city manager, inspected the premises at around 12:30 PM and found construction work in progress.
Following the inspection, the administration issued a notice to office operator Naresh Kawantia, but due to an unsatisfactory response, the office was sealed immediately. The officials instructed him to submit a written reply with valid documents within 24 hours.
Locals revealed that the office had been operating in the basement for years and recent renovation work may have sparked the dispute between builder Kaushik Baghadia and Naresh Kawantia.
JNAC Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar stated, “After investigation, the concerned part has been sealed due to illegal construction in the basement-parking area.”
