Adhunik signs MoU for the success of Project Cyber Village

Jamshedpur: Adhunik Alloys and Power Limited has signed an MoU (memorandum of understanding) with Vani Vidya Mandir School, Gamharia and Nav Nirman Sanstha, Jamshedpur for the successful implementation of Project Cyber Village.

The said project aims to make the school students computer literate under the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.

The school is run by Jan Seva Sadan, an NGO, which educates students from low-income families. The students have long been deprived of computer education. It was at the request of the school management that the company came forward to support the students with computers.

Every six months, around 100 to 200 students would become computer literate with computer knowledge in computer basics, DTP, Internet surfing skills and other usages.

The MoU was signed in the presence of Mihir Kumar Modak, principal of the school, and Harpreet Singh, chief operating officer (COO) of the company. Many other company officials were also present on the occasion. They included Arjesh Mishra, vice president, HR and IR and Administration, Rajesh Ranjan, Group Head, CSR and Niraj Kumar, Unit Head, CSR.

As per the MoU, the Company will provide three computers to the school as a onetime contribution and the school will arrange to appoint a computer teacher and his remuneration whereas the role of Nav Nirman Sanstha will be that of the facilitator and coordinator for the project.
