Jamshedpur: The employees and officials of Adhunik Power & Natural Resources Limited (APNRL), Padampur showed solidarity against use of tobacco by spreading awareness. Adhunik Power employees commemorating World anti-Tobacco day on Thursday.
The employees and senior officials stepped forward in large numbers to join signature campaign which was organised under the aegis of its social wing Nav Nirman Sanstha by CSR department, APNRL.
On this occasion one big canvas was installed at the main entry gate wherein employees wrote messages to support anti-tobacco day. Plant Head, Bhalchandra Nellikwar was the person who signed first as chief guest. Besides him Chief Reconstruction Officer, Rakesh Kumar Gupta and other senior officers namely NSP Rao, Ravinder Agarwal, B P Todi, Rajesh Sharma, Sanjeev Choudhary, Amal Baidya, Ajay Manohar Bangde, S K Paevez and Kamlesh Jha with other employees also signed up on canvas.
“World Anti-Tobacco Day observed around the world every year on May 31 and we are taking initiative on that day to spread maximum awareness against use of tobacco” said, Sanjeet Sinha, Sr. Manager (CSR).
Adhunik Power also took out a rally to spread awareness followed by a workshop at community hall of Rapcha village.
