Jamshedpur, March 19: The daily detection of new coronavirus positive cases has again taken the upward trend in Jamshedpur.
No COVID-19 death has been reported in the East Singhbhum district as the death toll remains at 375. But active cases which fell below the 100 mark are again beginning to rise. The active cases in Jamshedpur are 119 with 24 new positives on Friday, March 19.
On Friday, East Singhbhum district reported 24 corona positive cases while 10 people recovered of the virus.
The new positives in Jamshedpur took the Coronavirus tally to 18454. 10 people recovered of the virus on Friday taking the total recovery to 17960 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 119.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 224604 test per million in the district. The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 97.45% while the mortality rate is 2.03 %.
So far in Jamshedpur 608702 samples have been collected out of which 597897 have been tested and 579443 have turned out to be negative.
