Jamshedpur, Aug 29: Executive Officer of Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) Ravindra Gagrai has announced that the single use plastic articles including carry bags, bottles, disposable glasses and thermocol products are banned according to relevanty legal provisions. Jharkhand Chief Secretary has issued an order to the effect banning use of plastic and thermocol material. MMC EO Ravindra Gagrai has appealed to citizens and shopkeepers to abstain from use of these materials failing which strict action will be initiated against such persons. He suggested use of jute, cloth and paper bags for carrying purposes.
