Jamshedpur : A team of anti-corruption bureau (ACB) officials nabbed marketing secretary, Brij Kishore Pathak while he was taking Rs 50,000 as bribe from a businessman at Krishi Utpad Bazar Samiti in Parsudih today.
Deputy superintendent of police (ACB), Amar Pandey said Sanjay Kumar Singh who is a businessman had approached Pathak for granting a godown at the Krishi Bazar Samity premises.
For making the allotment of the godown, Pathak (59) had demanded Rs 1.5 lakh and agreed at Rs 50,000. After the deal was fixed, Singh informed the ACB about it.
On the basis of a complaint lodged by Singh, the ACB team raided the place where payment Rs 50,000 was being made and the marketing officer was nabbed red-handed.
