Bokaro, March 24: Revenue department employee Lalan Kumar posted in Gomia zone office of Bokaro was arrested red handed by Dhanbad ACB (Anti Corruption Bureau) team on Monday while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000.
Lalan Kumar was demanding a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a person in lieu of correcting the name online. He was harassing him repeatedly when he did not give the money. The victim was fed up of visiting the office. Finally that person complained about this to ACB Dhanbad.
After receiving the complaint, the ACB team on Monday arrested revenue employee Lalan Kumar posted in the zone office red handed while taking a bribe of from his residence located near the zone office. After the arrest, the team took him to Dhanbad.
The raid was conducted in Gomia Zone Office under the leadership of DSP Jitendra Kumar Singh of Dhanbad ACB.
The Dhanbad ACB team reached Gomia Zone Office in Bokaro on Monday. From here, they went to the residence of revenue employee Lalan Kumar in plain clothes. As soon as the victim gave the bribe to the accused revenue employee Lalan Kumar in lieu of work, the ACB team caught him. After the arrest, the team brought him to Dhanbad and is interrogating him.
