Saraikela, Feb 11: A team of anti-corruption bureau (ACB) today nabbed a clerk at the Provident Fund office at the district collectorate in Seraikela, Ramdhani Pandit for taking a bribe of Rs 4,000, only 17 days before retirement.
The ACB team led by DSP Anjani Kumar on Thursday 12 noon was keeping tab on the movement of Ramdhani Pandit and the complainant Jai Mangal Prasad entered the office of Ramdhani Pandit. Thereafter, the ACB team reached Ramdhani Pandit and interrogated him for nearly an hour and recovered Rs 4,000 from his possession and also checked his documents.

The ACB also took the clerk to his residence where they searched for documents.
According to ACB DSP Anjani Kumar, acting on complaint they had laid a trap for Ramdhani Pandit and raided the office on Thursday and recovered Rs 4,000. The clerk was scheduled to retire on February 28 and had prepared his PF papers beforehand.
