Garhwa/Mumbai: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), affiliated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has re-elected Rajsharan Shahi as its national president and Yagyavalkya Shukla as its national general secretary for the year 2023-24. The announcement was made by election officer CN Patel from the central office of the student organization in Mumbai.
Shahi and Shukla are set to assume their respective responsibilities during the 69th national conference of ABVP scheduled to take place in Delhi from December 7 to 10. Yajnavalkya Shukla, originally from Garhwa district in Jharkhand, holds a PhD in Geography from Ranchi University.
He has served as the President of the Student Union at Shri Jagjit Singhnamdhari College, Garhwa, and as the Vice President of the Students Union at Ranchi University.
Rajsharan Shahi, a resident of Gorakhpur district in Uttar Pradesh, holds a PhD in Education and works as an assistant professor in the Department of Education at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. Shahi is actively involved in important committees related to the implementation of various educational and national education policies in Uttar Pradesh.
