ABVP and AIDSO leaders clash at Jamshedpur’s Graduate College

Jamshedpur: Chaos took over Graduate School College for Women in Sakchi on Wednesday after members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad and All India Democratic Students Organization clashed violently. Several students were injured in the incident. Police had to lathi-charge the students in order to control the situation.

Sources said the clash began in the morning when ABVP and AIDSO members gathered at the college. The AIDSO members alleged that they were first attacked by ABVP activists. Three of them were taken to MGM Hospital.

Police officials later reached the college and tried to bring about a truce between the warring student leaders.


They said those guilty of assault will not be spared. They said the security of college premises would be beefed up to avoid repetition of such incidents.
