Absence of AB Switch main hindrance in uninterrupted power supply: JBVNL officials to MLA Saryu Roy

Jamshedpur, Oct 7: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy on Wednesday held a meeting regarding power supply issue with electricity officials at Sidhgora Power Sub Station.

Executive Engineer Pradeep Vishwakarma, assistant engineer RB Mahato and junior engineer of Jharkhand Bijli Vitram Nigam Ltd (JBVNL) officials were part of the meeting. MLA asked about the issues the electricity department is facing in supplying uninterrupted power to the consumers. JBVNL officials said that absence of AB (Air Break) Switch is the main hindrance in supplying quality power.     

Saryu Roy later had a talk with the senior officials of the department and assured the JBVNL officials that the issue will be solved at the earliest and AB Switch will be provided as early as possible. MLA informed the power department officials about various issues faced by the public including erecting of electricity pole with the support of a shop, unavailability of transformer according to the power load, tying of DV box on consumer’s window etc. Electricity officials also assured the MLA of solving the issue at the earliest. Jamshedpur East Assembly Area lineman also met Saryu Roy and informed him about the problems being faced. Also present at the meeting were Bhartiya Janta Morcha Jamshedpur East Assembly convener Ajay Sinha, Jan Suvidha representative Hareram Singh, Kashinath Pradhan, Vijay Narayan and others.
