ABM College student drowns in Gurra River at Paharbhanga

Jadugoda: BA student of Abdul Bari Memorial College in Golmuri, Saurabh Nag drowned in Gurra River at Paharbhanga of Narwa Pahad. The body has not been recovered even after 24 hours of the mishap. UCIL officer D Hansda and Potka police station OC Ramdayal Oraon initiated a search for the missing student�s body by urging Lovadih villagers whose frantic efforts failed to yield any result. The search will be resumed on Tuesday. The Potka PS OC Ramdayal Oraon himself got down in deep waters to participate in the search for Saurabh Nag�s body. It is believed that the body of the student could have been stuck among rocks. The relatives of the deceased student are waiting for the water level to subside. Saurabh�s father, Sukhdev Nag continued to keep an eye from the river bank for his son�s body to float up. Sukhdev Nag said that his son Saurabh had left home on Sunday along with his friends to visit Narwa Pahad and the neighboring areas. During that period, Saurabh, while getting intothe river waters slipped and was drowned. Saurabh was a resident of Namda Basti in Golmuri and used to run a Pragya Kendra to maintain the family.
