Jamshedpur: APJ Abdul Kalam House emerged as the champion in the indoor sports competition held during the ongoing Tafazzul Karim Sports Festival at APJ Kalam School, Mango. The event concluded on Sunday with Abdul Kalam House securing 20 points to claim the winner’s title. House captain Farhat received the winner’s shield from social worker Dr. Afroz Shakeel.
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose House finished second with 16 points, while Indira House secured third place with 10 points. The indoor games included carrom, chess, badminton, and table tennis, exclusively for girls.
The Tafazzul Karim Sports Festival will conclude on February 12, when winners of boys’ categories and outdoor events will be honoured. Additionally, two distinguished personalities will be presented with the prestigious Syed Tafazzul Karim Excellence Award for their notable contributions to sports and education.
