Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar Campaign witnesses overwhelming response, reveals housing crisis

Ranchi: In a remarkable turnout under the ‘Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar’ campaign in Jharkhand, an astounding 1.55 lakh applications for the Guruji Credit Card and a staggering 30 lakh applications for housing have flooded in. However, the stark reality persists, with more than 30 lakh people in the state still grappling with homelessness.

As the campaign, initiated on November 24, nears its conclusion – scheduled for Latehar on the 27th and Ranchi on the 29th of December – a total of 57 lakh 35 thousand 964 applications have been received for various schemes. Notably, 19 lakh 74 thousand 278 applications have been swiftly processed on the spot, while the meticulous scrutiny of the remaining applications is currently underway.

One significant aspect of the campaign is the Abua Housing Scheme, under which the government ambitiously aimed to provide three-room houses to eight lakh people within three years. However, as of December 26, the majority of applications received pertain to the Abua Housing Scheme, shedding light on the pressing need for housing solutions in the state.
