Jamshedpur, March 21: A delegation of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Jamshedpur unit, along with Bagdih village chief Uma Podo Mandal and other villagers met the Dhalbhum SDO Suraj Kumar and filed a written complaint against the irregularities in ration cards, which has made the people of Bagdih village under Asanboni suffer a lot.
An AAP leader said that several people of the village have still not received their ration cards and those who have their cards are not getting ration. At the same time, some are getting less than the assured quantity and ration dealers are making the consumers sign the cards but are not distrusting the ration to them.
The delegation also complained about the rich people having more than one ration cards, while poor are being deprived of it. Sumant Choudhary of AAP said, �Several complains have been made earlier and matter has been highlighted in the newspapers but the administration is least bothered about it. AAP demanded strict action against the culprit so that poor villagers can avail the ration.�
Chandan Singh, Suresh Thakur, Sumant Choudhary, Md. Ansar, Devendranath Tantubai, Durgacharan Singh, Vidhyadhar Kalindi, Kashif Raza Siddique and others were present on the occasion.
