Jamshedpur: A delegation of Aam Admi Party members met the senior superintendent of police Amol Venukant Homkar on Thursday to demand a probe into allegations of corruption against the officer in-charge of Sidhgora police station.
They said the accused officer should be kept out of his official capacity till he was proved innocent in the probe.
Party member Ramesh Prasad said district police should take measures to control crime in the city, especially in Sidhgora police station area.
A memorandum was handed over to the SSP in this regard by the AAP members.
The AAP members included Kumar Chandra Mardi, Manish Jha, RD Rai, Ekramul Haq, Shambhu Singh, Sunil Tiwary, Hari Om Tiwary, Appu Tiwary, Upendra Pandey, SN Singh, Ramesh Singh, Nitesh Kumar and Amar Kumar.
