Jamshedpur: Aam Admi Party activists burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Sakchi roundabout on Friday evening to protest hike in rail fare and prices of petrol, diesel, LPG and other essential commodities.
They alleged that the Central government had misled the people by promising them to bring back good days. They said the people were facing worst days as a result of inflation.
The outfit leader Prem Kumar said the prices of potato, onion, oil and other commodities had hit the common man hard.
He said the achche din slogan was fit to be used only in the context of Narendra Modi who had become the Prime Minister of India from being the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
