Kamlesh Patel and Diwakar Sharma to attend
Jamshedpur, Sept. 12: Children with physical and mental disabilities will display their prowess at an event to be organised jointly by Jaiswal Samaj and Nishan Seva Trust at XLRI on September 29.
More than 70 children from School of Hope, School of Joy, Asha Kiran etc will sing, dance, act and attend a fashion show to overcome physical disability. These children with disabilities will aim to prove that it is just a state of mind.
This type of event is being held for the first time in Jharkhand and will be a unique and commendable effort by the special children to conquer physical disability, said Gyan Chandra Jaiswal, President of Jaiswal Samaj.
Addressing a press meet at a city hotel on Wednesday, Jaiswal informed that celebrity guest for the event will be wonder dancer Kamlesh Patel and singing sensation Diwakar Sharma.
Kamlesh Patel has conquered physical disability to become a wonder dancer. Paralysed in both legs, he overcame great hardships to become a performer and was one of the star performers on a dance reality show last year.
Diwakar Sharma left his visual impairment behind as he not only won many hearts in a television music reality show but also topped in the 12th grade CBSE board exams.
‘The purpose of calling these celebrity artists is to help encourage the children and boost their temperament so that they can move ahead in life and their parents also get purpose to live’, the organiser added.
Earlier, the poster of the upcoming event was launched by Subodh Kumar, ADM (Law & Order), Arun Bakrewal, AMlesh Jha, Govind Madhav Saran, Raju Marwah, Balbir Singh, Ashok Jaiswal, Dr. Sanjay Gupta and K Nishan.
