With 2500 participants, Sports Summer Camp kicks-off in JRD

Jamshedpur, May 10: Sports Division, Tata Steel, on Tuesday inaugurated its Sports Summer camp 2016 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Ruchi Narendran, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the camp along with Farzan Heerjee, chief, Guest Relations & Sports, Tata Steel.

The camp is scheduled from May 10 to 30, 2016. The objective of this camp is to create awareness about fitness and to encourage participation in sporting activities.

Ruchi Narendran praised the efforts of the Sports Division and blessed the children. She stressed on the fact that such camps helps in overall development of the children.

Nearly 2500 children are participating in the camp. Sporting activities like archery, athletics, badminton, boxing, basketball, chess, cricket, football, golf, handball, hockey, karate, kabaddi, roller skating, swimming, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, weight lifting, yoga and zumba.

Mukul Vinayak Choudhari, administrator, TFA & Sports, Tata Steel, welcomed the guests and briefed them about the camp. Rajiv Seth, Bipin Patil, Ahsan Khalid, Raju Agrawal and coaches of all the 21 disciplines and employees of TFA and Sports department were present on the occasion.
