Chaibasa, Jan. 15: The election for Hatgamharia block head was conducted by Chaibasa Sadar Sub divisional officer Rakesh Kumar Dubey on Friday.
Sushil Kumar Birua was elected the Block head defeating his nearest rival Kailash Path Pingua, a Panchayat Samiti member by 5 votes and Up Block head post of Hatgamahria Block was won unopposed by Parmila Path Pingua.
The supporter of newly elected block head and up- block head were elated and smeared colour on each other on the occasion.
The present among others were Hagamahria BDO Somnath Birua including a large number of Panchayat Samiti members.
