Jamshedpur, March 15: East Singhbhum district administration has set up a vehicle acquisition cell for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This time round the administration requires 850 vehicles including 480 buses and 422 small vehicles.
District Transport Officer (DTO) has sent a requisition order to Tata Motors Transport Association, Nuvoco Vistas and Tata Steel to meet the requirement of vehicles. Officials said this time the administration will not acquire trucks and dumpers. Seizure of vehicles will not be done until and unless there is crisis of vehicles. As many as 270 magistrates have been deputed on election duty.
