85 percent electricity from PTPS will be given to Jharkhand: Piyush Goyal

Ranchi, Dec. 31: Union Energy-cum-Coal Minister Piyush Goyal said that on the request of chief minister Raghubar Das, the Union Govt. has decided to give 85% electricity produced at Patratu Thermal Power Station (PTPS) to the state.

Necessary amendments will be done in the rules for this. The people can avail electricity at minimum charges. Praising the state, the union minister said that Jharkhand is the first state which has completed all the formalities of Uday Yojana. The MOU will be signed next week.

Mr. Goyal said that near about 100 youths will be prepared for Olympic from the Sports University of the state. Out of the 1400 admissions, 700 will be from Jharkhand.

They will be given the best facilities. The university will endeavor to develop their skills in addition to physic.

The union minister told the CM that the scarcity of coal in thermal power station have been sorted out & now every thermal power station will have at least the coal stock for 23 days. He said that there is 9.1 percent increase in coal production which is a record.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary to CM Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Principal Secretary, Finance Mr. Amit Khare, Secretary to CM Mr. Sunil Kumar Burnwal & many officers were present.
