West Bokaro: Tata Steel Rural Development Society (TSRDS), West Bokaro organised a certificate distribution ceremony at its premises near Sports Complex, West Bokaro where 84 youths were awarded certificates for successfully completing Moral Re-Armament Camp and Outdoor Leadership Camp on Tuesday.
Sahabji Kuchroo, Chief of Operations, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) attended the event as Chief Guest along with Kumar Vikram, Head, Administration, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), Madhesh Kumar, Head, Services, Tata Steel (West Bokaro), Manoj Kumar Singh, Head, Security, Tata Steel (West Bokaro) and Keshav Ranjan, Unit Head, TSRDS and handed over the certificates to the candidates.
While 45 youths were awarded certificates for completing 3-day Moral Re-Armament Camp at Jamshedpur, 39 youths were awarded certificates for completing 3-day Outdoor Leadership Camp organized by Tata Steel Adventure Foundation at Jamshedpur.
Moral Re-Armament camp is one of the initiatives under CSR to strengthen morality and leadership among youths. In this fiscal year, 176 youths from various peripheral villages were sent for 3 days of MRA camp in four batches.
Speaking about the importance of simple living with high moral values, Kuchroo said, �In today�s world, strengthening moral education and improving leadership qualities is required in the society and such programmes will surely help in making the youth good citizens which helps in the nation building process. One should work hard to achieve their goals and set examples by becoming a role model for others to follow and play a pivotal role in making the society a better and happier place to live in.�
With an objective to analyze the strength and weakness, set personal and vocational goals and to inculcate self-esteem, confidence and to guide the youths to make them role models in their area, TSRDS has been sending local youths from in and around West Bokaro to attend MRA camps at Jamshedpur. Apart from this, with an objective to inculcate leadership qualities among the rural youth through various customized outbound activities on team-building, self-assessment, etc, TSRDS has also been sending the local youths to attend the Outdoor Leadership Camps organized by TSAF at Jamshedpur.
