Jamshedpur: Eight persons were critically injured at a construction site in Katiya village in Seraikela-Kharsawan on Saturday after a chunk of concrete fell upon them. The said village is situated on the Chandil-Kandra main road.
The injured were taken to Chandil Nursing Home where their condition was reportedly serious.
Sources said the mishap occurred around 11 am when a part of the concrete roof suddenly collapsed and fell on the workers. The workers busy during the setting of the concrete roof were critically injured in the impact. They were taken to the nursing home by the contractor and local residents.
Police said they were investigating into the incident. So far the incident appears to be accidental in nature, they said.
