Jamshedpur, Jan. 23: The 71st Saastha Preethi celebrations of Uttara Sabarimalai Dharma Saastha Temple will be held from January 24 to February 3, 2019 at temple premises in Bistupur, said P N Sankaran, Working President, Uttara Dharma Saastha Temple.
Addressing a Press Conference on the eve of the programme at the Temple, P N Sankaran, said, the 11-day celebration will kick off with Maha Ganapathy Homam on Thursday morning followed by Anugnai, Sri Vigneshwara Puja, Sankalpam and Maha Deeparadhana in the evening.
P N Sankaran informed that 30 ved pandits from different parts of the country will be conducting the pujas during the 11 day event.
The pujas this year also will commence with Maha Ganapati Havan on 24th January morning and Sankalp ceremony in the evening.
Dharma Saastha Maha Yagna with Moola Mantra will be organized for four days from 26th January, followed by Maha Sudarshana, Maha Dhanwantari and Adi Lakshmi, Adi Narayana Maha yagnas. P N Sankaran further said that Moola Mantra Havan for all presiding deities of the Temple will also be conducted, besides Sri Satyanarayana puja, Bhagavati Sevai, Sahasra kalasha Abhishek, Sri Sookta jap and Tulasi puja. The pujas this year also will culminate with Saastha Preethi Celebrations on 2nd and 3rd February.
In the evenings Rudra kramarchana and Ved parayan will be conducted by the visiting Ved pandits. Cultural programs such as bhajans and Carnatic classical music concerts have been planned in the evenings to entertain the devotees.
Kalash Sthapanam for mool mantra, homam, abhishekam to all deities and poornahuti will be held on January 25 morning followed by Maha Deeparadhana and prasad distribution. On evening Bhagvati Devai Rudra Kramarchana and Veda Parayanam will be organised.
The organisers informed that Tulasi Puja will be conducted at the Sannidanam Hall, with 16 dravyam Abhishekam by chanting purusha sooktam and then with Kalasha Jalam, followed by Sahasra Naman of Lord Vishnu, Ashtotarams of Mahalaxmi, tulasi mata etc on February 1.
On February 1 evening music concert by Vidushi Dr Baby Sreeram will be held.
Devotional songs will be presented by Acharya Bhakta Sabha, Jamshedpur on February 2.
On concluding day of the programme on February 3 Ekadasa Rudra Abhishek for Lord Maha Ganapathi and Lord Subrahmanya will be held.

Earlier, Kolam competition was held at the temple on January 20.
