Seraikela: A 70 year-old woman, identified as Nadi Purty, died in a road accident on the main road in Seraikela-Kharsawan on Saturday.
Sources said the incident occurred when the spare tyre of a speeding truck came off. The woman, passing close by, was hit and seriously injured by the tyre. Irked over the incident, local residents blocked the road and demanded compensation for the next of kin of the deceased.
