65 students benefit from dental check-up by Lions Club

Jamshedpur, Jan. 18: Lions Club of Jamshedpur Steel City, the ladies club, was again seen on Monday amongst students creating awareness on health and hygiene.

A total of 65 students of D N Kamani High School, Bistupur, who mostly belong to BPL families, underwent dental check-up today under the supervision of two dentists Dr Anupriya Rastogi and Dr Smirti. These 65 students were facing various dental problems earlier and were screened by the school principal for today�s check-up.

Lions Club of Jamshedpur Steel City, which is mostly working amongst children and senior citizens, had earlier conducted eye screening in the same school in which 1100 students were screened during Sight for Kids program.
Dental check-up was undertaken for the students from class 6 to 9 and very soon higher and primary sections will also be covered, as requested by Vijay Pratap Singh. Fruits were distributed to each of the 65 students to create health consciousness.

Both the doctors did the counseling for proper upkeep of the teeth and suggested remedial action and further check up to the students requiring further treatment.

Lions Club team was led by president Vandana Mishra, Past President Sunita Singh, Meena Bhagat, Manjit Kaur, Homi H Patel, Narendra Saggu and Ripa Dutta.

The program was inaugurated by Rajnish Kumar, First Vice-District Governor and graced by Region Chairperson Vineeta Shah and Zone Chairperson Dr Sanjay Kumar
