DC appeals to follow Covid-19 protocol
Seraikela, Jan 6: Covid-19 situation is getting out of control in Seraikela-Kharsawan district. Fresh infections are creating new records everyday. 63 new cases have been reported in the district on Thursday. Total of 1367 samples were tested during the day through TruNat and RT-PCR.
Active cases in the district have gone up to 116. Deputy Commissioner Arava Rajkamal informed that of the new cases on Thursday, 19 are from Sadar Hospital Seraikela Test Center, 5 from Seraikela Block, 1 from Kharsawan Block, 6 from Rajnagar Block, 5 from Chandil Block, 1 from Ichagarh block and 26 from Gamharia block.
DC further said that for better treatment the infected patients have been admitted to local hospital and kept under the supervision of doctors.
DC appealed to follow COVID-19 guidelines and cooperate with district administration in preventing the spread of infection.
He urged the citizens to stay home, maintain social distance, use mask regularly. Also, ensure that all members of the house are fully vaccinated.
