Jamshedpur, Sept. 28: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar, a team raided Jamshedpur JSBCL depot and all the retail in the district to seize expired stock of beer bottles.
The stock of beer was examined under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner, excise in the product shops.
After investigation, the expiry beer found in JSBCL depots and retail produce shops was seized. Beer seized from depot: – Size 650 mL – 4298 boxes and 69 bottles, Size 500 mL – 11947 boxes and 194 bottles and Size 330 mL – 10 boxes and 17 bottles. Beer seized from retail shops: – 650 mL – 293 boxes and 02 bottles, 500 mL – 76 boxes and 04 bottles and 330 mL – 08 boxes and 04 bottles.
Beer seized from bars and clubs: – 650 mL – 12629 bottles, 500 mL – 562 bottles and 330 mL – 65 bottles. Total seized beer: – 5643 boxes and 76 bottles of 650 mL, 12036 boxes and 207 bottles of 500 mL and 21 boxes and 14 bottles of 330 mL.
