540 units collected at Red Cross blood camp in Jamshedpur

 

Jamshedpur, Oct 9: The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), East Singhbhum Branch, Jamshedpur, organized a Mega Blood Donation Camp today at its Red Cross Bhawan premises in Sakchi to mark National Voluntary Blood Donation Day. The camp witnessed a record collection of 540 units of blood.

Speaking at the inauguration, Nalini Rammurthy, Honorary Secretary of the Jamshedpur Blood Centre, highlighted the importance of such camps in ensuring an adequate blood supply for the city’s residents. The collected blood will support the Jamshedpur Blood Centre in meeting the needs of patients across the city..

The camp was inaugurated in the presence of several dignitaries, including Vikas Singh, Chairman of K K Educational Foundation Trust and Vice-President of IRCS, and Asif Mehmood, Chairman of Ehsien Foundation. Other notable guests also attended and lauded the Red Cross Society for its sustained humanitarian efforts.
