50,000 Jharkhand youths to get jobs soon: Raghubar

CM inaugurates Deendayal Upadhyay Mega Skill Centre online

Ranchi, July 15: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das stressed here today that about 32 per cent of the state population, that is about 1.05 crore, youth will be made skilled in different trades.

Addressing the World Skill Day programme at the secretariat, Das said that the priority of his government was to make the youth skilled as per the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that skill is being provided only in those areas where opportunity of employment is there and this scheme is being con- nected with the institutions which provide employ- ment, according an official release here.

Das said that skilled Jharkhand will be an able Jharkhand, adding it s a new beginning for not only Jharkhand but also for the entire country.

Launching Deendayal Upadhyay Mega Skill Centre on line, the chief minister said the prime minister s dream is inclu- sive growth where develop- ment entails increase in employment as well.

It also includes the increase in the purchasing power of the people, Das said, adding the govern- ment is spending Rs 700 crore on this scheme and it has an important place in the state s annual budget, reflecting the commitment to the scheme.

Das said that the biggest concern of the youth is employment and post inde- pendence the prime minis- ter has for the first time taken cognizance of the issue at this level that he created a new ministry of skill development.

The chief minister said that whether the youth take employment or they are associated with employment it helps in building of the nation.

He said that in the initial stage 15 women each of the 32,000 villages of the state are being imparted skill training. This will create a force of four lakh and eighty thousand enabled women who will become the new faces of rural Jharkhand.

The chief minister said in the coming days the state government will also employ 50,000 youth in dif- ferent departments.

Appreciating the prime minister s vision, Das said that the prime minister inaugurated MUDRA scheme on October 2, 2015 and today lakhs of benefici- aries are owner of self-busi- ness and they are providing employment to many peo- ple.Giving his own exam- ple of his journey from a labourer to
chief minister, Das encouraged the youth to keep going to be success- ful in their life.

The additional chief sec- retary Amit Khare and the Higher Education and Skill Development Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh, also addressed the youth.

Khare said by 2020 all the blocks of the state will have an ITI, which will help the youth in moder training of different skills.
