50 percent of total BIT seats to be reserved for Jharkhand students: CM

Ranchi, April 26: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday said that BIT Mesra should be developed as a center of excellence.

‘50% of the total BIT seats would be reserved for students of Jharkhand’, said CM Das. He further said that the institution should impart quality education to the students so that they can become self dependent and create new avenues of opportunities.

A team can be formed for studying the work culture of top technical institutions of the nation, said CM after the signing of the MoU between the state govt. and BIT Mesra.

The MoU was signed by the secretary, Higher Education and Technical Education Ajay Kumar Singh and VC, BIT Mesra Dr. M. K. Mesra in the chairmanship of the Development Commissioner Amit Khare.

Minister Ram Chandra Chandravansi, additional CS Amit Khare, Principal Sec to the CM Sunil Kr. Barnwal, Registrar, BIT Mesra and other officials of the university were present on this occasion.
