Ranchi, August 3: Nearly 50 lakh women in the age group of 21 and 50 years will benefit from the Jharkhand Mukhya Mantri Mainya Samman Yojana.
Secretary of women, child development and social security, Jharkhand, Manoj Kumar informed media on Saturday that on the first day of the state-wide camp for the scheme nearly 2582 applications have been received from the districts.
“Under the scheme, the government will give Rs 1000 per month to every woman coming in the age group and meeting certain criterions,” said Kumar.
The Secretary said that work is being done in mission mode to cover women under the scheme. About 50 lakh women of the state will be able to benefit from this scheme. He said that camps are being organized at the district level to make the scheme successful.
For this, orders have been given to district social welfare officers, assistant director social security and CDPOs of all the districts at the departmental level.
The portal of this scheme has been prepared by JAP IT. The scheme has been launched by the hands of the Chief Minister and a total of 2582 applications have been received till 4 pm on the first day.
He also admitted that due to slow network in uploading the application, some technical difficulties were faced which have been removed.
Manoj Kumar said that the application will be verified only through the portal prepared by JAP IT.
He informed that 36 thousand hits have been received in the portal in just one hour and about 15 lakh hits have been received in a day.
“Therefore, we hope that the scheme will also prove to be an effective step in the upliftment of the women of the state. Camps are being set up in all the districts of the state and about 800-1000 people are coming to each camp. Also, an awareness chariot has been dispatched on August 2 to create awareness about this scheme in each district. Monitoring is being done at the departmental level under the guidance of Chief Minister,” said Kumar.
The secretary informed that the benefit of the scheme will be given to women between 21 to 50 years who are not taking benefit of any other pension scheme. To take benefit of Mainya Samaan Yojana, it is necessary to have Aadhar card, ration card, EPIC card, Aadhar linked bank account and to be a resident of Jharkhand. Application forms are available online and applications can be submitted for the month of August through the portal from 21st August.
Hemant Soren on Friday flagged off 10 LED vehicles from the Jharkhand Assembly premises to different districts to spread awareness about the scheme.
