5 nabbed for firing at VHP member in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, September 12: Bagbera police station have arrested five criminals and recovered pistol and three live cartridges on accusation of firing at Vishwa Hindu Parishad member Bablu Singh.

The accused shot and injured Bablu Singh, on September 9 near the Railway Guard Running Room located at Bagbera Railway Trophic Colony. In the case, a complaint was registered against 10 unknowns including Ajit, Gupteshwar Giri alias Leda at the Bagbera police station on the complaint of the injured.

Jamshedpur city SP Subhash Chandra Jat said that in the investigation of the police, it came to light that Pappu Ghosh, resident of Sanjaynagar Talab area of Bagbera, Vishal Kumar alias Laddu of Bagbera Gandhinagar, Rahul Rajwar of Railway Traffic Colony, Karmdev Sharma,, resident of Ulidih police station area Shankosai Road No. 1 and Basant Upadhyay of Burmines Carriage Colony were involved in the crime.

Police is conducting search for other accused. It is worth mentioning that in Bagbera, there have been crimes regarding dominance in illegal business. Bablu Singh was also fired upon for encroachment of government land.
