Jamshedpur, Dec. 18: The Steel city is all set to host the entertainment extravanganza at third edition of Jamshedpur Carnival, a part of the Jamshedpur fest, which will kick start from December 19 at Gopal Maidan here.
Addressing a press conference, Ashish mathur, managing director, Jusco, said, From vintage car rally to children’s film festival, from Master Chef to dance and Vibrant Jamshedpur Carnival Parade, there is something for everyone at the Jamshedpur Fest.
‘On December 19, 40 teenagers from Gandhi Aahram School (GAPO), Kalimpong, for the disadvantaged children, will host a musical soiree and play violin, cello and guitar. ‘Bollywood Tadka,’ a dance performance, ‘Talent of Jamshedpur’ – Selected singing talent of Jamshedpur will give scintillating performances through the velvet voice.
NTTF Band of Jamshedpur will sing famous Bollywood songs at Gopal Maidan.
Ronald D’Costa, charter president of Jamshedpur Hoteliers Association and the brain behind the Jamshedpur Carnival, said, Hoteliers Association of India wiil celebrate International Food Festival from 19th to 24th December 2015 at the Gopal Maidan with mouth-watering delicacies. A Master Chef competitions will be held for school children and citizens of Jamshedpur The completions would be theme based and divided into different categories.
Mathur further said, the carnival parade would be a replica of what happens in Goa and Rio (Brazil) and will have flavours of Latin band playing live, vintage cars, surprise package of Santa Claus, bagpiper band, horses, dancers etc. The parade will be flagged off by SSP and SDO from near the statue of Jamshetji Tata at Jubilee Park and finish at the Gopal Maidan on Sunday, December 20 afternoon. In the evening dance fest will be held.
On Monday, December 21 Sa Re Ga Ma will be held at Gopal maidan.
An ethnic fashion show has been planned on Tuesday, December 22, where young local models would romp the ramp in traditional Indian attire depicting the cultural diversity of India.
Bollywood Sufi Nite by Mr. Adrl Hossain will be held on Wednesday, December 23.
Clash of Bands will be organised on Thursday, December 24 where the people of Jamshedpur would witness musical diversity from Jazz, metal to heavy, and rock. There would be scintillating performance guest band ‘The Monkberries’.
Following the success of the first two editions of Jamshedpur Carnival, the city is set for the third edition of the entertainment extravaganza which promises to be bigger and better.
Tata Steel, which organizes several events from staring of November to end of January like the flower show, dog show, mushaira, steel city golf and so on, has put these events together under ‘Jamshedpur Fest.’
