Jamshedpur, Feb 27: A 45-year-old man was fatally injured as the scooter he was riding hit a stationary trailer on Tata-Kandra road near Kandra toll plaza under Kandra thana area in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district. The victim, identified as Ravi Gupta, was rushed to Tata Main Hospital, where he succumbed to his injury.
The victim was a resident of Kandra. The mishap took place while he was riding towards Adityapur. According to information, the trailer which was coming from the Kandra toward Adityapur was parked.
” Everything happened all of a sudden.The driver of the trailer in which the victim rammed into had parked the heavy vehicle after paid the toll at the plaza, the scooter rider who was coming at a moderately high speed missed to see the stationary trailer and rammed into it,” said one of the eyewitnesses.
OC, Kandra police station Shailendra Kumar confirmed about the fatal mishap, and said that the mishap took place only because the victim missed to look at the stationary vehicle as he was riding very fast.
