Jamshedpur, Oct. 22: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West kicked-off four-day awareness session on Polio on the occasion of World Polio Day on Friday.
On day two of the campaign on Saturday, awareness session on Polio was conducted at Deeksha Centre in Sonari.
At the event Nibha Mishra talked about how polio virus spreads, how people get affected by it, role of rotary, government and other organisations in wiping out the curse of Polio from country and risk of Polio virus again coming back to India.
Around 40 ladies and gents were benefitted by this programme. President of the club, Alakananda Bakshi showed pictures of Polio stricken children to young mothers who haven’t seen anyone suffering from Polio to motivate them so that they never forget to take their children to Polio Booths.
People of Sonari appreciated the talk and promised that they will spread awareness amongst others too.
