Noamundi, Sept. 15: Tata Steel organised a healthy baby competition at Bhangaon village near Kiriburi in Noamundi block on September 13. Over 40 women from nearby villages with children in the age group of 0 to 6 months, 6 months to 1 year, 1 to 2 years and 2 to 3 years participated in the competition. The main objective of the competition is to create awareness amongst mothers about baby’s proper care like timely immunisation, compulsory breast feeding upto 6 months, additional food supplements to children, etc. Total 40 children participated in the competition which was facilitated by Tata Steel Rural Development Society medical team and Maternal & New Born Survival Initiative team.
