Noamundi, April 12: A four-year-old boy was crushed to death in his sleep when a heavy vehicle entered their home in Danawali Village under Noamundi Police Station at around 3 am on Sunday. Victim�s mother and an infant sister managed to escape the incident.
According to police reports, the driver lost his control over the ten wheeler truck and entered the kuccha house when the whole family including the victim Jawani Kui along with her son Chari Champia and one-year-old daughter Jasmati were asleep.
Champia, who was sleeping on an adjacent cot, was killed on the spot while Jawani along with her infant daughter managed to escape.�
Soon after the incident villagers informed about the incident to Noamundi Police. Later, Police took the deceased�s body in custody and sent it for autopsy to Sadar Hospital in Chaibasa.
The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene. Police said the truck with registration of�Nagaland�was on its way to Badajamda from Jamshedpur to load iron-ore when the driver lost control over it, causing the incident.

Former Chief Minister Madhu Koda also visited the spot and consoled the bereaved family.
