4 Sonari shops sealed for violation of COVID protocol

Jamshedpur, August 25: Led by Incident Commander-cum-Executive Magistrate Chandradev Prasad, a mask checking campaign was conducted by the police force in Sonari. Three shops were sealed for 24 hours and another for 72 hours for violation of COVID protocols. Pedestrians and vehicle riders not wearing masks were severely reprimanded and warned of penalties if found repeating the offences.

Free masks were distributed and people were urged to wear masks every time they stepped out of their homes and were also asked to maintain physical distancing at markets and other public places.
