3878 people in 18-44 age group get vaccinated in Jamshedpur on Wednesday

1879 people administered vax at Loyola School

Jamshedpur, May 19: A wide-ranging vaccination campaign for people aged 18-44 continued across the state on Wednesday, May 19. In the same sequence, vaccination drive was held at 5 centres in Jamshedpur. 

On day 6 of the drive on Wednesday, 3878 people were vaccinated at Loyola School, RVS Academy, Mango, Ram Krishna Mission School, Sidhgora, Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Telco and RP Patel High School, Jugsalai.  

There was a lot of enthusiasm among the 18-44 year old beneficiaries regarding vaccination at all the centers.

Altogether 4200 doses of Covishield was alloted for the day of which total 3878 people got vaccinated. Remaining 322 doses will be administered the next day. 

Of the 500 Covishield doses allotted to Vidya Bharti Chinmaya Vidyalaya, 460 people were vaccinated. 

At Loyola School 2000 doses of Covishield were allotted and 1879 people were administered the vaccine.

Similarly RVS Academy was allotted 1000 dose of Covishield, 904 people were vaccinated. 

Ram Krishna Mission School and RP Patel School were allotted 500 and 200 doses of Covishield respectively of which 455 and 180 people were vaccinated at the centres. 

Following the social distance at the center, vaccination was done to the beneficiaries. 

The vaccination for the above age group was allowed only through prior registration and walk-ins at the centres are not allowed to avoid crowding.
