32-year-old man goes missing in Sonari, Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Dec 31: A 32-year-old man, identified as Monty Nag, has been reported missing from the Sonari police station area since the late night of December 28.

He is a resident of Quarter No. A/585 near Koila Tal Road under Sonari police station. According to family members, Monty Nag left his house sometime between 11.30 pm and 2.00 am without informing anyone.

When he did not return by morning, the family carried out an extensive search in nearby areas, but no trace of him could be found. Subsequently, the matter was reported to the Sonari police station.

The family has expressed serious concern, stating that Monty Nag is mentally challenged and usually does not step out of the house on his own. His sudden disappearance has raised fears that he may have lost his way and reached an unfamiliar place.

Following the complaint, a police team led by the Sonari police station in-charge immediately launched a search operation. Police said that, considering the seriousness of the case, all police stations across Jamshedpur have been alerted.

Search efforts are underway at railway stations, bus stands, market areas and other crowded public places. The station in-charge said, “Information related to the missing person has been circulated to all police stations. Our teams are searching in every possible direction, and we are hopeful of tracing him soon.”

Police have also appealed to the public to cooperate. Anyone who spots Monty Nag or has any information related to his whereabouts has been requested to immediately inform Sonari police station or the nearest police station.
