Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency has got 30,521 new voters this election. The total number of voters at present is 17,00,892, sources said. These voters will participate in the polling scheduled to be held on 12th May. Till 22nd April last, the total number of voters was 16,70,371. The names of new voters were added to the old list on Monday night. A total of 30,521 applications were received for addition of names in the voters list. Many applications were also received online, sources said.
Last time, the voters� list was published on 30th January 2019. The process of rectification of voters list stopped on the day notification was issued for the Lok Sabha elections. However, the addition of names continued till before 16th April, sources said.
Sources said the revised list of voters would soon be published.
