30 year old man tries to assault patient at Jamshedpur’s MGM Hospital

Jamshedpur, Oct. 21 : A 30-year-old man tried to assault a patient admitted at the MGM Medical College Hospital’s medical ward at Sakchilast night.The patient, identified as Anil Rajak left his hospital bed and later informed the hospital’s security guards. As the news spread, the security guards rushed to the medical ward of the hospital, the alleged attackers had fled. The security guards had soon informed the Sakchi police.
” I was shocked when I was attacked on my bed at about 9.30 pm, when a man came toward me, abusing. Despite there were other patients beside my bed.Then out of fear, I suddenly left the bed and fled through the other door,” said Rajak.
Another patientwho was in the adjoining bed of that of Rajak also confirmed about a stranger’s act against Rajak.”Eeven we were surprised to see him. Rajak ran in haste. Had he not escaped from the other door the man who had barged into the medical ward would have definitely inflicted injury. We had also got frieghtened on seeing the man in an attacking mood,” said the patient.
A resident of Sini at Seraikela, Rajak (40) was admitted at the medical college hospital for the treatment of his kidney ailment four days ago. He said he would work at a cotton mill in Ahmedabad till the last five years, but presently he was earning his living by working at Sini.
