30 schools to be upgraded in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 23: Thirty schools in East Singhbhum district will be upgraded. Among these, there are 19 model schools running in the district, which are currently middle schools, they will be upgraded to high schools.

 On the other hand, high schools will be upgraded and converted into plus two. Its list is being prepared and sent to the Directorate of Secondary Education.

In the coming days, there is a plan to upgrade 65 high schools to plus two. Under the new education policy, intermediate studies cannot be done in degree colleges hence the state government is doing homework in this direction. It is being upgraded in this episode. In the coming days, all the model schools are ready to be converted into plus two schools.

Last year, after approval from the District Education Establishment Committee meeting, the proposal to upgrade 20 schools was sent to the Directorate of Secondary Education. However, till now no action has been taken in this matter. This time the Department of School Education and Literacy has asked for the file, so that the students do not face any problem in taking admission in Inter next year.

It is mentioned in the new education policy that schools will have education till 12th standard. All such schools which have sufficient land and infrastructure will be upgraded to Plus Two. This time permission has been given to take admission in Intermediate in Degree College under special circumstances. This permission has been given only for three years.
