847 fresh cases found, state recovery rate jumps to 87.86 pc
Jamshedpur, Oct 6: Jamshedpur reported less 100 COVID positive cases for the fifth straight day on Tuesday. 95 positives cases were reported on October 6 taking the Coronavirus tally to 14,372.
Positive tally has climbed to 14,372 while the death toll has reached 331 with 3 deaths on Tuesday. Three person from Sonari including 43-year-old and 66-year-old man along with a 64-year-old woman succumbed to the virus in Jamshedpur on Tuesday.
151 people recovered of the virus taking the total recovery to 12486 while total active cases in Jamshedpur are 1555.
The district administration spokesperson informed that 95 corona positives have been identified in the East Singhbhum district on Tuesday. East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 78681 test per million in the district. The mortality rate in East Singhbhum district in 2.3 % while recovery rate is 87%.
With a total of 847 fresh cases of Coronavirus being detected across the state on Tuesday the overall tally of Covid-19 patients in Jharkhand has reached to 88,873. During the day 10 deaths were reported including 5 from Ranchi, 3 from East Singhbhum, 1 each from Koderma and Giridih districts after which the overall death count has increased to 757 in the state. The mortality rate among the patients currently stands at 0.85 percent. As per the information provided by the health department the number of active cases in the state was 10,027 while number of cured and discharged cases stood at 78,089. The total number of death caused by Coronavirus in the state stood at 757. On Tuesday a maximum number of 280 cases were found in Ranchi followed by 116 in West Singhbhum, 95 in East Singhbhum, 51 in Bokaro and 42 in Dhanbad district (top five districts). A total of number of 1,246 people were also cured and discharged from various dedicated Covid-19 facilities during the day including 440 from Ranchi, 151 from East Singhbhum, 110 from Bokaro, 55 from Saraikela and 52 each from West Singhbhum and Dhanbad districts. Despite the rampant rise in Coronavirus cases across the state the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has improved significantly and has once again gone above 85 percent mark to currently stand at 87.86 percent in Jharkhand. So far in the state 24,68,535 samples have been collected out of which 24,65,841 have been tested and 23,76,968 have turned out to be negative.
