Jamshedpur, Dec 22: The Horticultural Society Jamshedpur will be organizing 28th annual flower show cum Horticulture Exhibition-2016 at Gopal Maidan from 24 to 27 December 2016. The theme of the show is ‘Conservation of Biodiversity’.
The flower show will be hosting a huge participation from all across the country of flower lovers, farmers, retailers, landscapes, importers, exporters, traders in planting material, fertilizers, pesticides, garden tolls, spraying equipments, auto irrigation system manufacturing and installation company.
Flower Show is one of the most important and most awaited events of the steel city which attracts more than 3 lac footprints. The event is going to be an eye opener to all who want to expand and diversify their activities. It’s also a great occasion for the people to meet and exchange skills and latest technology amongst themselves’, said Ruchi Narendran, the chairperson of Horticultural Society, Jamshedpur.
Addressing a press conference at centre for excellence on Thursday, Mrs. Narendran said, the aesthetic sense, colourful taste, passion for nature all come together and fill our city with fragrance which lingers in our lives all year round and we eagerly wait for it year after year.
In order to raise awareness on the topic, there will be a variety of exhibits on Bio diversity, flowers, Bonsai, Vegetables, Soil less culture, landscaping with potted plants, innovative landscape and garden feature products and technical sessions on Bio diversity and garden related activities by subject matter specialists during the show, Baren Maity, secretary of Horticultural Society of Jamshedpur.
He further said that the chief guest at the inaugural function on December 24 will be Dr. Nitin Kulkarni, IAS, Secretary, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Co-operative department, Govt. of Jharkhand together with Sunil Bhaskaran, vice president, Tata Steel. TV Narendran, MD, Tata Steel will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Also present at the press conference was Madhulika Sharma.
