Jamshedpur, Jan. 22:Rajasthan Seva Sadan and BM Birla Heart Research Centre Kolkata jointly organized a free heart check-up camp at Rajasthan Seva Sadan Hospital premises in ME School Road, Jugsalai on Sunday, January 22.
The camp was inaugurated by social worker Ramesh Agarwal. Guest at the camp, Gajanand Bhalotia said, heart is similar to the motor of an engine and if the heart is damaged then the whole body becomes useless. For the healthy heart awareness campaign should be run on regular basis.
Jamshedpur East MLA representative Pavan Agarwal said, government is providing aid to the person who is found suffering from a serious disease and the person should benefit from the scheme. He assured to provide all possible help in the matter.
The camp began at 9.30 am and continued till 4 pm where 273 people were checked of the 300 registered. The camp was headed by a 9-member doctor�s team from Kolkata headed by Dr. Tarun Kumar Pehraj and Dr. D Vishwas. Doctors at the camp checked all the problems related to heart and also give suggestions to the patients. Blood check-up and ECG of 270 people were done.
Around 100 patients who were formally affected by the heart disease were provided second opinion on better heart treatment by the specialists� team from BM Birla Heart Research Centre. Earlier, Balmukund Goyal welcomed all where Mantu Agarwal was the convener while Ashok Bhalotia extended the vote of thanks.
Also present at the camp were Murlidhar Kedia, Ashok Bhalotia, Bajrang Lal Bhartiya, Shankar Lal Mittal, Raj Kumar, Sunil Ringasia, Birla Centre�s Rakesh Kumar, Sourav Kumar and others were present.
